일본 쿠마쿠라 쿠라(Kuma)강 인근에 지어진 젠가(Jenga) 블럭 같은 모양의 별장입니다.

4m * 4m * 4m 크기의 큐브모양으로 통나무를 틀에서 완전히 벗어나

얼키게 쌓아 놓고 창은 통나무를 얼키게 쌓아놓고 난

빈 공간을 유리를 비스듬히 기울여 창을 내고 천장 또한 유리로 마감한 디자인으로

구석구석 빈 공간을 이용해야하는 복잡한 실내 구조이긴 하나 나름 개성이 뚜렷해 보입니다.

실내에선 머리 조심은 필수인듯 하네요.

 It's like a house built with Jenga blocks.

The NGH is a small weekend house that overlooks the River Kuma in Kumakura, Japan.

It's approximately a 13'x13'x13' cube, which makes it smaller than our apartment here in NYC,

 but way more functional due to the ramshackle space that is formed by the cedar logs,

creating spaces for seating, sleeping, eating, storage, etc.

 I appreciate the simplicity of the idea and the rigor with which they carried it out.
